Leslie ConnellyLeslie Drosman
Program Director for Adolescents, Primary Adolescent Counselor
My name is Leslie Drosman, CAS, I am the Program Coordinator/Case Manager at BreakAway Health Corporation.   I have been working with adolescents and their families at BreakAway since March, 2003.  I have assisted in the healing of several families by helping them trust again, live together in harmony, and above all love and forgive one another.  I am dedicated to the recovery and healing of each person that enters our treatment center both child and parent alike.  I have over 25 years experience both personally and professionally dealing with the effects of addiction and how tragic it can be in the lives of those it afflicts.   I believe that each person can turn the most tragic moments in life into miracles of new beginnings.

"To see the world through the eyes of a child is truly magical."

Ari Drosman CATC II, CCS
Ari DrosmanCouselor, Case Manager
I have been working at BreakAway since 2005. Prior to coming to BreakAway I worked in a number of facilities working within multiple modalities and populations. I came to BreakAway because working with adolescents is my passion. I have had experience with recovery since 1999 on personal and professional levels. A former student of English and Philosophy, I am currently working toward a master’s degree. I am a Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor (CATC). I teach aspiring counselors subjects like physiology and pharmacology, co-occurring disorders, special populations, and others. I work intensively with adults in many capacities. I hold a firm belief that everyone deserves to be free and that the answers commonly are contained within.

"Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of those that have come before you. Seek what they sought."

"Yesterday is written in stone, tomorrow is a blank page, today we hold the pen."

Clint W. Johnson, CADCA
I have been in recovery since 1998.  I came to BreakAway in 2008 as an intern after graduating with honors in Addiction Studies. I received my CAADAC certificate in 2009. At BreakAway I found my home.  Working with adolescents has been the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever experienced.  With love and compassion, I am known as the “great encourager.” My position, as the morning counselor, is to provide a safe, challenging, and fun environment that is conducive for growth.  It’s so amazing to me, to see the light turn on; and a smile reappear on a child’s face.  Here at BreakAway I spend a lot of time teaching our kids how to enjoy life on life’s terms. “Catch a man a fish feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish feed him forever.”

“When the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change, we will change.”

Amy Cusumano, CADAC I (working toward CADAC II)
I have a passion for motivating and advising people. Getting families to see it's not where they've been that matters but where they can go from here. The wreckage of their past is nothing compared to what their future can hold. My desire is to take fractured families and help make them whole again in a safe environment with the best possible care; based on personal, professional, & educational experiences.
